Social Fight Club: Xperiment

«You can do whatever you want with me – what do you want to do?» This workshop explores responsibility, control, projection, and care within a safe and contained environment, inviting participants to reflect on power and social dynamics. What happens when one person is given power over another? Is it used with care or abused – and why? At the center of this experiment is Rouse, who remains in the space, silent, for 90 minutes, surrounded by participants. The setting is facilitated by Sharka. Tasks and actions may be assigned to Rouse – within a framework of mutually agreed-upon rules. Rouse remains silent throughout. Creativity is encouraged, and participants may bring their own objects. Inspired by Marina Abramović, this format has evolved into a collective experience in which responsibility is shared by all.

Mustermesse der Gewalt
Gewalt ist allgegenwärtig – sie wird vollzogen und abgelehnt, legitimiert und dämonisiert. Niemand will sie erleben oder offiziell anwenden, und doch ist sie tief in unseren Gesellschaften verankert. Anlässlich der Aufführungen unserer Produktionen Ode an die gewaltbereite Jugend und Dämonen wird das Schauspielhaus im Sommer 2025 zur Arena für offene Auseinandersetzungen. Der «Social Fight Club. Mustermesse der Gewalt» schafft Raum für körperliche Erfahrungen und kollektive Reflexion: Zwei Wochen Diskurs und Action – mit Workshops, Kunst, Film- und Gamesessions, gemeinsamen Essen, Kampfsport, Powerpartys und Streitkultur. Alle Workshops und Mittagsveranstaltungen sind kostenlos, bei Workshops ist in der Regel eine Anmeldung erforderlich. Im Foyer des Theater Basels stellen die Künstler*innen Inka ter Haar, Laura Leupi und Nino Baumgartner Arbeiten aus.
