«WHAT YOU DON’T SEE» makes everyday moments visible and audible, moments in which experiences of diaspora, being in-between and Blackness come together. The exhibition focuses on seemingly unremarkable everyday situations in public spaces, exploring how a sense of community and belonging emerges for non-white people.
The audiovisual installation archives and shares moments captured during the process.
Vernissage, 23.7., 7–12 pm
Immerse yourself in audiovisual works by Gabriella Smart and Glenn Asumadu, browse the pages of the process-documenting zine designed by Sebastian Gebhart with (con-)text by Saskia Bryner, and enjoy delicious injera by Lalibela
Also, mark 1.8. in your calendar: a festive finissage with musical performances will round off the exhibition.
