Diese neue Plattform vereint Talente aus Musik, Radio, Kunst/Performances und (Fashion-)Design, Gastronomie und lädt zu einem immersiven Erlebnis auf dem FRANCK AREAL in Basel ein. Parallel zur Art Basel findet dieses einwöchige Event mitten in einer höchst spannenden Umgebung statt. Das ehemalige Industrie-Areal wird seit der Eröffnung des Tanzhaus Basel im Herbst 2024 immer mehr zu einem zentralen Ort für Tanz, kreatives Schaffen und nachhaltige Entwicklung in Basel.

OMG Franck! ist als eine gemeinsame Idee von Radio X Basel, Franck Areal, dem Design-Studio Ozelot Studios sowie dem Gastronomie-Kollektiv No Chefs Studios entstanden. Ziel ist es, während einer Woche gemeinsam mit den Künstler*innen, Designer*innen, Köch*innen, DJs und Labels ein «Kollektiv der Kollektive» zu gründen. Wir wollen in sechs Tagen einen Ort der respektvollen Begegnung und gegenseitigen Inspiration erschaffen. Bereits in den frühen 1990ern wurden urbane Freiräume in Orte für kreative Entfaltung verwandelt. Verlassenen Räumen wurde neues Leben eingehaucht. Let’s create our world in six days.

This new platform brings together talents from music, radio, art/performance, (fashion) design, and gastronomy, offering an immersive experience at the FRANCK AREAL in Basel. Taking place parallel to Art Basel, this one-week event will be held in an exciting and dynamic environment. Since the opening of the Tanzhaus Basel in the fall of 2024, the former industrial area has been increasingly becoming a central hub for dance, creative work, and sustainable development in Basel.

OMG Franck! is a collaborative idea from Radio X Basel, Franck Areal, the design studio Ozelot Studios, and the culinary collective No Chefs Studios. The goal is to create a «collective of collectives» together with artists, designers, chefs, DJs, and labels over the course of one week. In six days, we aim to establish a place for respectful encounters and mutual inspiration. As early as the 1990s, urban spaces were transformed into places for creative expression. Abandoned spaces were given new life. Let’s create our world in six days.
